Do we need another cover of SexyBack? Maybe we do. God, this song is getting all the cover attention it doesn't deserve. I mean, it's a good, not great song (though it does manage to get in your head for a while), but there are tons of better songs waiting to be covered out there, and this just seems to be the obvious ironic choice to go with.
Anyway, this cover of the Canadian indie rock band 'Rock Central Plaza' is pretty interesting. It's different from those that I've posted before. Way different. Let's say there's a country-twang feel to it. The guy's voice kinda sounds like drunk-pervy-stalker creepy. And I think there is a violin.
Now if I've got you all curious, here's a link so that you can have a listen to it:

By the way, if you haven't read Pitchfork Media's Top 100 Songs of 2006, go there now. It's really quite a list. Ciara and Cassie's entries are higher than those of Beyoncé, Rihanna & Nelly Furtado. The Pipettes and Lily Allen scored two entries each. No Belle & Sebastian in sight (which is a crime). There's a pretty good chunk of electronica between those indie rock tracks. And considered this is Pitchfork, you'd never believe what their number one is. No, not TV On The Radio. Not Joanna Newsom. Clue: it's pop.
